Meet the DoctorFullSizeRender

I was born and raised in Mesa, AZ and graduated from Westwood High School in 1990.  It has been a great experience to be practicing right in the area where I grew up.  I have been able to become reacquainted with many people who I have known since my childhood.  I am married and have six children.  When I’m not doing dentistry I’m likely to be found spending time with my wife and kids.  I also enjoy playing the guitar, playing tennis, being in the outdoors, and serving in my church and community.

I received my undergraduate degree in 1996 from Brigham Young University where I completed my pre-dental course work in addition to majoring in Japanese.  I served a two year mission for my church in Hokkaido, Japan.  I completed my dental training at the University of Washington (Seattle) in 2000.  I have been in general dental practice since returning to Mesa in 2000.  I am a member of the American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association and  the Central Arizona Dental Society.  I regularly participate in continuing dental education to keep pace with the changes and improvement in techniques and materials in modern dentistry.  I am currently a candidate with the American Society of Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry (ASIRD) where I am focusing time and effort in advancing my abilities, knowledge, and technique in the realm of implant dentistry.  In 2014 I was named as a Phoenix Magazine Top Dentist.  This designation comes about as a result of a survey among dental colleagues in the area, so the award meant a lot to me personally.

As a dentist I place a high priority on treating each patient as an individual with unique needs.  I view sufficient doctor-patient time, communication, and discussion of treatment options as integral parts of providing excellent, personalized dentistry.  I also place great emphasis on quality, honesty, and integrity in the way I provide treatment and in the way we run all aspects of our practice.  We want our patients to feel good about working with us and we want to feel good about the service we are providing.
